My Perspective
As a designer, I feel the need to share with the audience the magic of Performance creation, the feeling of excitement when the screen rises and reveals the world that invites us to be drawn into it, mesmerizing us to believe in the illusion that is woven right in front of our eyes, to be intrigued.
I am looking to provide additional layers that hint and contribute to the story, to concentrate on the subtext, and to translate the moments of transformation in the text into real life, to provide the element of surprise.
It is important for me to emphasize the small things. because in my eyes, they are the ones that shed more light and give additional angles to the story of the characters, beyond what is conveyed to us in the text, and provide a way to realize the personal interpretation of the creation.
"The Scenographer visually liberates the text and the story behind it, by creating a world in which the eyes see what the ears do not hear."
